You must think about your target audience everything you have an Orlando web design. And yet many web owners still make the silly mistakes of not designing the website in accordance to what their audience requires. They think that the main purpose of a website is to sell. And while that is true in some cases, it isn’t exactly the be-all and end-all of the existence of websites. They need to inform the market. Most of all, they need to impress your audience.

You can do this by knowing your target market first. Who are they? What do they do? What are their demands? There are basically three generations that websites cater to now: the Baby Boomers, the Generation X, and the Millennials.

The Millennials

Born between the 1980s and the late 1990s, the Millennials are currently the largest population in the US at 75.4 million. By 2025, this generation will overtake the global active population with a high capacity for consumption. There’ll be about 200 billion of them in five years. The market is the highest consumer of online items. They are digital-native and they love to be informed and updated.

The rule for Millennials is to go mobile seeing as 80% of them use the smartphone and 40% use tablets to do their internet browsing. They want to find relevant information on your site, although they want to find it in a fast and easy way. Audio and video productions are expected.

Millennials don’t like calls and texts. They want to solve their problems on their own, so just give them an FAQ page and a troubleshooting guide.

The Generation X

These are the people born between 1960 and 1980. There are about 66 million of them in the US. The Generation X are not digital-natives, but they learn about technology fast. They want easy access to the internet. They want fun and entertaining websites, although they require such websites to have easy navigation.

About 90% of Generation X have access to the internet and they access it through mobile devices. Around 81% made online purchases, so they are always looking to buy something. For members of this generation, full customer service is important.

The Baby Boomers

The Baby Boomers are those born after World War II (1946-1965). They use the least amount of technology from among the group. Along with the Millennials, they have a huge population of about 74 million.

They are not as demanding as the Millennials and Generation X when it comes to using the internet. They also use laptops more than mobile devices. Because they lack confidence in navigating the virtual world, you should keep the Orlando web design simple and intuitive. There should be no fancy navigational tools. They want things to be safe because they are prone to error when it comes to browsing sites.

Being aware of your audience’s needs, wants, and demands will make you a better web designer. The primary goal of every website is to deliver the output that their customers want.
