One of the biggest mistakes of your Lakeland Facebook and Instagram marketing strategy is not knowing how to connect with social media influencers. There are plenty of them, so it’s always a wonder why businesses cannot connect with them for the promotion of your business. Even if your business is the most unsexy product out there, you can still find social media influencers who can represent your brand well.

Instead of chasing web traffic, you should make it chase you. How can you do that? You can do that through influencer marketing. Web traffic follows where these influencers go. Build a relationship with them, and you will see your brand’s reputation improve.

Make a Spreadsheet

By now, you should already have an idea which influencers will likely carry your brand with pride. Most of these influencers are open to collaborate with small businesses as long as your message resonates with them.

They also publicize their contact information on their profile page. Collect these information and put them on a spreadsheet. The sheet should have their names, email, website, Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram handle, last time you contacted them, and your status with them (acquainted, close, etc.).

Schedule a Meeting

Reach out to the influencers to schedule a meeting. It doesn’t have to be anything formal. It’s about getting to know them. Most of them are willing to help small businesses because they are also building their network.

It can be a few minutes of talking about your brand and what makes them the perfect ambassadors for it. When talking with these influencers for the first time, make sure to mention how much you are a fan of their work. Mention examples of their posts and advocacies so they know you’re not simply trying to get to their good side.

Make a Video

Create a video where you will discuss your proposition to the influencers you are trying to reach. Figure out what you want to discuss with them and do it under three minutes. Anything more than that will bore anyone who will watch your video.

No matter how entertaining or engaging you can be, viewers don’t want to watch more than a few minutes of video. Don’t waste anyone’s time by not focusing on the topic of the video. Stick to your message and you’ll be fine.

Reaching out to influencers is an effective strategy to boost your Lakeland Facebook and Instagram marketing. As long as you know who to reach out to and who better to represent your brand, you should be fine.
